Morning!
If those who got their VINs are still reading this thread (!)
Once you get a VIN, how long do you have to make the payment and pick up the car?
Like a 3-day window?
Just making sure in case I'm out of town when I get the VIN.
I received my VIN on Thursday. Yesterday, Friday, I received the text to schedule delivery. There were appointments available from 6/19-6/21 at the Costa Mesa SC. 6/21 worked best for me. I've not made the payment yet. I plan to do the ACH payment at time of delivery, full payment, no financing.

Good luck!!

I’m at 06/21-06/30 with a 04/24 order date.
I was told by Burbank numerous times to expect a VIN by the end of the week around the 18th. And of course that came and went and no VIN. I’m officially at the end of my 6-8 week order estimated delivery window. It’s getting super frustrating at this point.

Burbank here as well and almost near identical specs as yours (no induction wheels)

they told me the same thing and no vin yet

my date moved back by one day so now it’s 21-30th vs 20-30th

Maybe this has already been discussed, but did anyone notice that you can no longer "transport" demo vehicles? They are all "Available for pickup in XXXX". My SA texted me that they can now only sell demo vehicles locally, but I thought that was their store. I didn't realize Tesla changed their policy across the board.

So finding that elusive demo that matches your configuration has become that much more difficult.

We even called Burbank this week since we had 3 consecutive days with September EDD and they told us “by Friday” we would get a text to schedule delivery. When we called yesterday, the guy we spoke with said he didn’t know why we were told that since they don’t have that information. I mean at least 3-4 times we were told around the 17th so how do they go from that to “we don’t know that information”. 🤷🏻‍♀️
Just need a a VIN before my loan expires!!!

My EDD was 21 jun - 30 jun last night. Today morning it is 5 july to 25july. Called colma center and the lady said “yeah everyone’s date have been shifted please plan accordingly”. I told her that the new dates are outside my initial delivery timeframe(EDD while placing the order) and I was repeatedly promised a june end date. Her reply was “well yeah that’s what we see on our end so please plan accordingly”. I am 100% certain she didn’t even bother to look at my reservation because she didn’t ask for the RN or my phone number. I really hate the experience of buying a 50k+ car and getting such vague answer. Already without a car cos my lease ended and I decided to sell cos tesla initially showed me EDD around april end to mid may and then moved to September and all the other EDD drama

My Tesla SA is of no help. I reached out to them and all they did was repeat the EDD from the website. Tesla’s ordering system is part LEAN manufacturing and part voodoo magic. All in all, it needs corrections to improve customer satisfaction and transparency to potential buyers.

At this point, I feel like it is a bait and switch program with all their demos dangling in front of us.

Back to topic, edd is June 20-30. I can wait and hope that all April orders get filled before May orders.

I would call back and maybe try talking to a delivery person instead of an SA. Be frank with them and say you know they have a way to see your estimated build date and you would really appreciate it if they could look that up for you. That being said, you and I have a very similar config and ordered only a few days apart and my SA sent me a screenshot showing my build was scheduled for today. So I wouldn't be surprised if you're in the same batch. #teamblue

My order date is 04/11
I ordered MYLR white with black interior, induction wheels and tow without FSD on April 3rd and was given a 5 to 9 week delivery timeframe. It’s now been over 11 weeks and the app currently projects assigning a VIN between July 20 and August 10th. Decisions made to support vehicle would have not been made and now I’m in a difficult situation since selling my truck last month.

I’m right there with you! I don’t get it either.

When did you complete your profile? and did you complete your payment method as well?
I completed the profile the following day, i.e 04/12. I was told to hold on the financing part till I am notified about it. I got a text from them on 05/14 which said this “
Congratulations on your order!

Head to Tesla.com, and click 'Tesla Account', to login and finalize your profile submission. If account is not complete, it is possible you will not receive a vehicle in June and will be waiting until September for delivery based on current demand. Please reply "SEPTEMBER" if you wish to wait until then for delivery. Your delivery is on hold until you hit the "I'M READY" button online and complete your remaining steps.

Thank you!

-Tesla”

I immediately did what was asked and then I received this on 05/19

I reached out to my SA and she said this is the time to arrange for financing and I did what was asked the same evening. Till that day my Edd was some date in Jun, the moment I completed the financing part my Edd disappeared for a long time and just for a day or two it showed 06/29-06/31. After that it has been all over the place.. really depressing experience.
I am in need of a bigger car with my pregnant wife and my family. My SA/operations specialist are just repeating what the EDD is showing up on my account. I am thinking of going with a different used ICE car if I don’t get it by 1st week of Jul.
