I think the cars have been sitting for a while and the vinyl wrap they have on the cars when shipping is bonding to Teslas cheap paint. I thoroughly inspected the paint yesterday and the day of delivery and noticed even more scratches. The cloudy weather didn't help and I noticed everything yesterday.

Just an update. Got my MY a little bit ago from Carlsbad. There were a ton of cars there.
pickup was flawless. Nothing I could notice at all in fit or finish.
some topics that have recently come up:
- no rear ppf
- no passenger lumbar control
- no “new door panel” - Tesla person said that’s model 3 only? Can anyone confirm?
- plastic buttons on the wheel (can’t recall what that means)
I’m at express vinyl wraps getting my front windows tinted now.
ask any other questions if wanted

It had been 3-13 weeks over the long weekend, like most. This morning it was June 8-28, which is pretty much what it had been (give or take a couple of days) since the beginning.
What VIN # are you? and by plastic buttons on the wheel - do you mean the scroll wheels? Those should be metal...
Thanks. There was another MSM delivered there yesterday.
I'll be curious how the scheduling and delivery process will work in Costa Mesa. Two friends have taken delivery from Costa Mesa in the past several months. One was delivered at a parking garage in Irvine. The other was home delivery.

Interesting! I love the home delivery option - I decided to sell my current car to Carmax, rather than trade in. My current estimated delivery is now June 3-9. I tried calling the Costa Mesa delivery center, and the Lake Forest (where I test drove) delivery center. Neither answered.
Are you getting your windows tinted? I’ve heard OC Tint Solutions does a good job.

they might be metal. They’re silverish color. They don’t feel metallic though. I could be wrong.
I remember reading something about some feature matching with metal scroll wheels. I could be wrong. Read too many pages on here. Went a little crazy.
