On our Model S, downsizing from 21” to 19” improved range by 12.5% (~36 miles), so I expect going from 19” to 20” on the Y can reduce range by roughly half that, 18 miles.
The 20” Inductions definitely look better but I’m opting for max range with the Y. The 20” tire sizes are also predominantly performance oriented so you’ll expect better grip/handling at the expense of range. The greatest contributor to range though is the driver and driving style. With 20s I would still expect @Rayvas to complete the 129-mile commute and still get home on a single charge, but that’s highly dependent on driving style and time of year.

our dates have been tracking very closely with same Spec, I’m picking up in Century City though - something tells me we will get our VINs at the same time.
it looks like most people get their VINs when their EDD range is about 10-11 days… if my calculations (which are basically a guess) are right we will get VINs this coming week.

* = Turns out in talking to the nice lady at the credit union that I may actually be responsible for reimbursing them in part or in whole for their gracious Tesla donation. I sort of knew in the back of my mind that there was some kind of catch involved in this!
Maybe, my dates got as close as 13 days apart and then got bumped out on the back end by 5 days. I think our front date has been today +2 days for like the last 10 days. Part of me thinks that when the dates get close together the back end automatically pushes out. It has to be any day now…I think. I hope.
