Double vision (ghosting) at night through windshield?

Is it confirmed your windshield doesn't, or your eyes/brain don't notice it?

I'm still getting the "engineers are aware of the problem and working on a solution" line from my SC. I doubt they really are, as it's been a year, and they seem to have higher priorities. Anyone else have any updates? This is really unacceptable to live with..

Windshield film greatly reduced ours.

Maybe ask a tint shop to put a little square of 90% Air film on it and see if you think it is diminished enough to have them do the whole windshield.

I tinted my windshield with Suntek cxp 70. Mariginal (~20-25%) improvement in ghosting. Daytime is pretty much unnoticeable now with nighttime ghosting reduced to a more tolerable amount.

I also got the "it's a known issue without any fixes yet" line along with the acceleration shudder issue.

Still love the X tho with all its dang flaws, lol.

Update- I got my new windscreen under warrantee- the screen looks much better as the original screen had dips in it, but the ghosting is worse. I have accepted that a sloped screen is going to ghost, and I am over it.

Got a new windshield last week. I had triple images at night with the old one. The new one has a single image. The loaner I am using right now is also a single image. So it is a significant improvement but still has ghosting.

I got this issue resolved. They installed a new windshield - the new one is made by AGP. The one that has issues was made by Sekurit Gobain. Interestingly.. my wife just got a new MX - in her car all the glass is made by Sekurit except the windshield that is made by AGP. I guess this is an answer

Yea, it is AGP on our Sept 2016, and it ghosts just fine.

Got mine replaced and problems are fixed.
I've used three other vehicles with the same part number window, none had ghosting.

I have the same AGP as mal_tsla, and I still have ghosting. It's not that bad, but it's there.

I have the same AGP as mal_tsla, and I still have ghosting. It's not that bad, but it's there.

Oh ours ghosts plenty. Doesn't bother us tho.

I thought that this part number is just the one required for AP2 (and possibly AP2.5) hardware. And although it is tied in the parts listing to “AP2.0”, I have the same windshield part number for AP2.5. This is because the front camera config behind the windshield is different from AP1. So if it does happen to also be better for ghosting, it is not going to help the AP1 folks.

So, I am getting my windshield replaced next week on my API MX. I just want to confirm if AGP 1105964-00-B is the non-ghosting windshield? I am getting a little confused as I read through the posts. If you have that part number please share your ghosting experiences.

It's a crap shoot - but the odds are the new glass will be better, at least.
