Multiple safety disengagement (including running red light)
@AlanSubie4Life: a while ago we were talking about the stopping behavior between stop signs and red lights. I forget exactly what we were discussing, but in this video, at 2:35, you can see a pretty big difference between how it handles coming to a stop for a stop sign vs at 3:15 when the car stops for the red light.
It seems so strange to me why the behaviors need to be different. Both sign and signal typically have a stop line (although all bets are off where I live for either). But in my experience, slowing for a red light has almost always been very human-like and smooth, whereas it's all over the place for stop signs. You might have had a poorer experience with red lights.
