The next big milestone for FSD is 11. It is a significant upgrade and fundamental changes to several parts of the FSD stack including totally new way to train the perception NN.

From AI day and Lex Fridman interview we have a good sense of what might be included.

- Object permanence both temporal and spatial
- Moving from “bag of points” to objects in NN
- Creating a 3D vector representation of the environment all in NN
- Planner optimization using NN / Monte Carlo Tree Search (MCTS)
- Change from processed images to “photon count” / raw image
- Change from single image perception to surround video
- Merging of city, highway and parking lot stacks a.k.a. Single Stack

Lex Fridman Interview of Elon. Starting with FSD related topics.

Here is a detailed explanation of Beta 11 in "layman's language" by James Douma, interview done after Lex Podcast.

Here is the AI Day explanation by in 4 parts.

Here is a useful blog post asking a few questions to Tesla about AI day. The useful part comes in comparison of Tesla's methods with Waymo and others (detailed papers linked).

There's no way to really spin Elon's timelines. He's missed many more than he's hit, especially regarding FSD V11. February of last year, then "End of Summer", then November, then Christmas, etc. While there definitely is internal testing going on, many of these he spoke of public testing which never happened until recently.

He says it's because he gets excited, but at this point he even makes fun of himself. I can't tell if it's to boost hype or motivate internally or he's still just horrible with timelines.
Yes, but none of them are promises. He’s optimistic with timelines no doubt..but he doesn’t say “you’ll definitely have it by this date.” People need to recognize that and stop getting antsy when a given date comes and goes. It’s ready when it’s ready.

Since my last check, there are now two 2023 Model Ys on FSD v11.3.2. Hopefully this means that Tesla Vision Park Assist is indeed in the wild now, and we'll get to see a demonstration video of it shortly.

Any well known Tesla YouTubers have USS-less vehicles that we can watch for updates?
Think there was a video from early 11.3 release that showed auto park working once more, presumably the vision version since that's what they've used for a while before they broke it. Wonder if it's still functional in 11.3.2 though

I see you didn't read my entire post. Or are lies and false statements not promises, either?

First drive on 2022.45.11/FSDb 11.3.2…
Was this with your Y or 3? I believe the latter does not have Ultrasonic Sensors, so if it did get 11.3.2, do you see any specific release notes about Tesla Vision Park Assist? I'm guessing it was for your Y as you didn't mention it in your report, but please share at least a photo when your 3 gets 11.x!

Good catch. One of those TeslaFi vehicles was originally on 2022.28.300 like archae86's 3, and this factory software started appearing with mid-October deliveries through most of November so presumably for new 3/Y without the sensors.

Interesting... This is how you are supposed to do it here in Germany. Do you normally merge as soon as there's enough room on the highway lane?

That's not what I was taught and it doesn't make sense. You shall adjust your speed to oncoming traffic and merge when there's a suitable gap. If you wait till the end of the ramp, there may be no room to merge. And while some cars may need the ramp in its entirety to get up to speed, a Tesla certainly doesn't.

I’ve always been told you should merge as soon as there’s ample room.

Same with city driving. You should plan ahead to be in the correct lane for any upcoming turn you have to make, as not to merge at the last second, like FSDb like to do.
