Wiki Model S Delivery Update

No offense taken. My test was not to check whether some configurations get deliveries sooner than others (e.g. 21" wheels vs 19", or black vs white interior), since we know that to be the case.

My $100 casino-style gamble was simply to validate or disprove whether Tesla is intentionally prioritizing IDENTICAL configs to those that are priced $10k or more higher. Call it a poker bluff, basically.

So far, my gamble hasn't paid off, as the EDDs are near-identical. But I was willing to pay $100 to demonstrate (albeit with one single example) whether Tesla is being malicious or not, that's it.

So your test may be true in your situation, but the point is why force people with white interiors to wait 8 months or pay $10k? White interior means February at earliest, any other interior means could have had the car weeks ago. Tesla should have reached out to configurations that are "delayed" and give option to change colors into a nearly matching car without losing $10k.

There is definitely some gamesmanship going on here, it's not malicious because business is business. But it's still not really fair to early reservation holders.

Because I can make a new reservation today, pay an extra $10k, and have the car in a few weeks. Or save $10k and get it by February 2022 "theoretically".

?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
And the crazy thing is that it is with a $500 deduct and high coverage 100/300

I don’t mind the Plaid badge. Just not a stick-on fake one.
Exactly. Kind of like this truism...

This was discussed quite a bit a few weeks ago. The 19s are not PZ4s, I thought the same at first. The 19s are Pirelli PZero ‘Elect’ All Season tires made specifically for Tesla. The Taycan has a version of the same PZero Elect tires.
That car actually has PZ4! There is hope.

Noice, but aren't the tires already black? :)

I'll probably do the same with Xpel and tint. Care to share pricing and reviews when you're done? And yeah that will be 7 agonizing days!
Haha. Powder coating everything. Xpel stealth and ceramic tent. Going to be close to 10k… might put a black stripe on it. F it. I’m going to have the only one up where I live.

When was that picture taken ? I ask that question because apparently the 'Elect' tires for the refresh were just released which may have been the cause for the 19" delays. If that pic isn't recent, the PZ4 were probably installed on the 19s since the Elect for Tesla weren't out.. I can't say I'm 100% certain, but 90% the tires that come on the 19s will be the P Zero Elect. Is it possible, some parts of the country will receive the 19s with PZero Pz4 ? Sure, it's possible but I'm sticking with the refresh 19s will not come with PZ4s.

Do any of you notice the issue described in that thread? Sounds not so good.

@Hayseed_MS does not even get to 38 MPH because it only has the two motors like a peasant.

who's paying 10k to get a white interior? have you seen a white interior be delivered outside of the one niche case @hotsoup ? I haven't seen many white interiors, i highly doubt that 10k bump in price is going to get you a white interior any faster. something's up w/ it for sure.

Best value we offer here is a 100% full custom wrap in either gloss or stealth and cost $9k out the door. That would include the CQuartz Finest Reserve prep work and coating on top of all the film areas, wheels, brake calipers, glass, and trim. Highly recommended if you are looking for the ultimate protection for your Model S.

What is paint correction? Here's a video of Joe explaining how we do it here,

-Deep cleaning fender liners
-Polishing all glass
