I thought I was the only one that really could not stomach plastic centering rings right up against rotors.Great choice! I have these wheels on my Model 3 (staggered) and love them. Wish I could transfer them to my S when I get it. Would definitely consider getting them again. The only pain was getting some aluminium hub centric rings custom made. They can also be a pain to get off when changing wheels!
Don't worry son, you made a good decision buying them 21s. They sure do look better than the 19s. But on another note, let us enjoy the 19s being a better wheel/tire overall, will yaBefore you get too excited, there is no scientific merit to his results. Unless of course, you think EVERY Tesla refresh performs identically to every other Tesla of it's class (LR or Plaid).
It's quite possible his second Tesla just runs better than his first one. The only way to really validate this is to get an average time for each vehicle, then switch the tires between each vehicle and do it again. If the times have reversed EXACTLY, then we have real facts.
TSW has a larger bore and then they supply plastic rings to take up distance from the larger ID on the rim to the OD needed to fit on the hub. This allows one rim to accommodate many different hub locator ODs.Are your TSW rims hub centric ? I'm thinking of following your lead.
Wow some people do some dumb sh*t. Thanks for sharing ; I never heard about that one.
Oh I agree the 21's look way better. Plus I couldn't justify putting hubcaps on the most expensive car I have ever owned. But I definitely made a mistake. The summer tires are going to kill me in about 3 months.Don't worry son, you made a good decision buying them 21s. They sure do look better than the 19s. Does EZ Pass work on the windshield of your current S ? I had to mount on my front license plate of my prior S.
Probably need to do the same with the refresh but not sure.
ok but could they even catch you if the jammers don't work? Not much yet as I just picked up my car today. Tomorrow I’m driving approx 220 miles through areas where I know there will be opportunities to earn tickets so I’ll be sure to report back.
Super helpful. Although their tech support says that to jam "everything" I need 2 regular + 1 high power sensor on front and same on rear. That all adds up...not to $5k but $2640...I will only speak from my experience with Anti-Laser Priority which I believe is the laser detection/jamming part of this system…
I use it on my GTR, and in Hawaii where they ran laser exclusively for years (including DragonEye, the hardest to jam), it saved my license countless of times, sometimes at speeds that would have yielded a revocation, not just a suspension. It was reliable, and I even left it on right past the officer (JTG, Jam To Gun) a couple of times to see what his reaction was as I went by. Pretty funny stuff. ALP is the best, and the only laser countermeasure I would trust. Once HPD added radar back to their program, the Escort did a great job (I only enable KA band as that is all Hawaii ran and seems like the only band the Houston areas runs).
That said, this Radenso system is ridiculously expensive to me, and I simply could not throw that kind of money at something like this, but I need to remember there are rich people on these forums that simply want the best. For me, $5k+ for this?! Aww hell no! I bought my ALP with two front sensors for like $750, installed it my self, and run an Escort Max 360 on a mirror mount (you want your radar sensing to be as high up as you can get it). That‘s around $1,400 all in, and very effective in my experience (Get a Uniden if you don’t like prefer).
For us budget minded folk, an ALP, Uniden or Escort for KA band, combined with Waze works wonders.
Yup, that's a great idea. Sometimes I forget to put my thinking cap on ha.Mounted EZ where the manual states and it works 100%.
First footage that of seen of the Plaid back at the Nürburgring!
(Before it crashed, which is normal for this rigorous of a track)
Fun fact: at the 1:00 minute mark, you can see the Plaid being followed by what is likely the AMG EQS.
I wasn’t. Time to read moreAre you seriously not aware of this? The front tires are shredding the rear fenders. There is a whole thread on this here:
Model S Plaid: Paint chipping on Rear quarter panel and doors
And the generic ones from Amazon don't look bad. Worth $20 to protect the paint. Especially in a crowd that spends $8k to do the same thing.

That’s right"Money," in particular!
Hah— evasion is a steeper penalty than I’m willing to stomach. This girl ain’t cut out for jail.ok but could they even catch you if the jammers don't work?

Looks fantastic and the RC-M is excellent gear. FWIW I saw a Youtube video where the installer designed/3d printed a replacement housing for the rearview mirror that embedded the display unit into the housing below the mirror itself. Super stealth and integrated and right in the line of sight....@jebinc @Venom @lawteam @neadams99
Really happy with the install of the Radenso RC M with laser jammers. Looks discreet. Will have an opportunity tomorrow to really put it through its paces. Will plan to report back about the radar detection and laser jamming tomorrow night.
I'm now seriously thinking about doing an integrated laser jammer now for my MS Plaid. Just emailed 2 local shops for quotes, but for the std AL Priority system purchased and installed. Let's see what they come back with. I know it's ~ $1,640 just for the AL Priority system according to their website.I will only speak from my experience with Anti-Laser Priority which I believe is the laser detection/jamming part of this system…
