Congratulations! Are you located in the Fremont area? If so, I hope to see you around town. I am waiting for Multi-Coat Red and do not expect delivery until March or April.

I received VIN 2752 today and will pick up at the factory in the latter half of next week, right after Christmas. So a day focused on the family, then a day to get familar with my new buggy. Yahoo!

Thanks! The spread sheet shows about 100 Model S's in Fremont alone. Not sure how up to date it is, but that is alot of us in one town :biggrin:. I'm sure we will all meet at the super chargers one of these days.

I was told by my PS today that the last factory pickup events for 2012 are this weekend (12/22-12/23) They will resume in January, but they said that my car will be delivered via transport between 12/27 and 12/29, and I would not have the option to pick it up even though I live in Fremont. They said I could take the factory tour any time after 12/31.
Did they tell you that you could pick your up after 12/25?

Thanks! The spread sheet shows about 100 Model S's in Fremont alone.

Fremont is where the factory is, so those mostly represent factory pickups. Many of those folks are driving their cars to elsewhere in the state, thanks to the Supercharger network.

Just picked up my beautiful dolphin grey P85 at the Tesla factory this evening. I cannot believe it's here! It was a special event with Elon Musk greeting us. Have some pictures to post soon. What an amazing machine!

P4201, VIN 2443 - delivered Monday 12/17: great car! Everything positive has been mentioned many times, and it's all true.
My rear hatch lacks power, my navigation doesn't work, dome lights have a life of their own, GPS keeps getting locked up, picture of car on the screen is red but my car is black: Delivery Specialist couldn't figure out why.. I just realized that they loaded the non-tech software on my tech-optioned car.. really lame... called in to TESLA this morning - this will be a check of their customer service and "service recovery" - will post follow up as it happens.

Wow... sounds like they might be skipping some kind of inspection step to get the cars out. Ship now, fix later kind of mentality.

Or they only checked the non-tech features for the same reason they configured the software for non-tech. (And probably don't check the car display for its color anyway.)

If true, not good. Tesla's service has not been the best, but people have been willing to live with it because the car is so good. If this is a trend and cars have too many bugs in them upon delivery, people are not going to be as understanding.

Sorry to hear about gaswalla's problems, but I hope this is an isolated incident. And I really hope Tesla goes above and beyond to fix those problems.
