More plugs in case one fails? How about more plugs in case it is working (and occupied)?
Good to see they are admitting they have a problem, don't get me wrong. More AC backup chargers like QESH has would be good too, and not too expensive to roll out quickly first.

Genuine question, why these chargers are still free?

in the past years they made them free to attract more people into ev world. but it doesnt make sense in 2023.

Still free. There are plans for payment schemes but no signs of when they might be implemented

Because most companies are obsessed with “branding” and just as many are fully signed up members of “not invented here”.

I suspect the NRMA want to integrate EV charging in their existing App, although the article is not clear on that point.

Having said that… about time NRMA introduced charging for charging™ - bring it on!

Sadly, closing down is often seen to be the quickest way to solve an issue such as this especially when the operator does not have unlimited funds to just keep repairing.

It was a pretty sketchy spot. There might be a message to councils there about appropriate locations for chargers that people might find themselves at alone, late at night.

For that you just have to wait, and not too long. They will take out their frustrations anyway.

I just remembered that this is the same council of the famous rubbish tip charger. Picking good locations might not be their strong suit.
