Doesn't TM-Spy use the OBDII port? That port has limited data out from my understanding - I have the cables for the over cubby data cables, but I'm not sure what software to use for that at this point.

No. The ODBII port is useless unless you want to the 12v supply to power a dashcam.

You need to make a usb to CANBUS cable and connect it to the CANBUS port behind the cubby.

This is with a cold battery so it's at least as good as when I first got the L upgrade.

At 90% and max battery ready, it pulled about 456 to 458KW on the last software update but that was warm and 90%.
 
tesla has still not elaborated on the loaner battery bit and whether or not i am supposed to return to swap again. so im just going with this is my battery until told otherwise. part number is 1069582-01-E
Hi @jerjozwik - Did you start with a V2 battery? Which is a 107XXXX part number? Then Tesla replaced it with the loaner 1069582-01-E ? Does anyone know the performance of the 1069582 battery? It seems you are getting less power now with the loaner, than with the V2? I don't recognize the part number from the V1,V2 and V3 's.

What I would like to know is if you have a V1 battery - and it hits the battery warning - can you upgrade to a V3? I would hate to think that instead if you have a V2 or V3 you are downgraded in power to the 1069582 version. Based on the history of Tesla actions regarding this problem, I am very paranoid toward anything they do.

What about max battery at 90% or greater?
 
hahah, yah i know. but its never ready when the car is at 90%+ in the morning. made a post in P90DL "Max Battery Power" mode asking for tips on how best to prep the max bat ready state. sans supercharger of course.

I usually set my P90DL to Max Batter as I drive up to the supercharger, and then charge to 100%, then find a backroad really quickly and then do my test. I'm normally either 99% or 98% at that point. Don't know if this helps or not.

this morning i set my L2 charge to go from 90% to 100%. which would take 1 hour 12 min or so. turned on max batt power, which said 25 min. by the time i got an almost full charge max batt estimate was still at 25 min. so simply charging does not help... nor does driving. so, sit in the car for 45 min twiddling thumbs?
 
Fast charging will bring the pack temp up. If I Max battery a cold battery, it's 15+ minutes. If I DC charge it first, depending on surrounding temp, it's ready immediately or a 5 minute wait. If your max battery is taking 45 minutes, something is wrong. The longest I've ever seen is 25 minutes, which decreases rapidly if I do a few launches. That seems to heat the battery up really quickly.

I've found that max battery is still engaged while I supercharge because I'm still in the car. I could be wrong, but I think it may turn off when I step out of the car while charging or supercharging.

I've usually just sat in the car while I supercharge to 100% (taking a nap or listening to an old episode of Ryan's Tesla Unofficial Podcast.

That's odd. I turn on Max battery about 45 min or so before the 100% charge is done. It's ready by the time the charge is done.

It could be there isn't enough amps available at an l2 charger to run the heater and charge until farther into the taper. It works for me at home, but I have 245v @ 40a.

I've also just left the car plugged into the charger at home with Max battery turned on and the battery at 100% until it's ready. I believe it runs the heater off of wall power. Then I leave when it is ready.

I have a 240v, 50 amp outlet and when the car gets to about 90 percent I turn on max battery. It's ready when the battery gets to 100 percent. Or as n2mb says, you can just turn on max battery after 100 percent charge with the car still plugged in.
