Superchargers in Australia

Interesting to see that in Europe Tesla has introduced afternoon/evening peak pricing.

Looks like a 10% premium in most countries from 4pm-8pm (6pm-9pm in Spain) based on a quick scan of non-Tesla pricing
That is interesting. They will be able to play around with different pricing depending on tariff structures in different areas. If they are adding batteries to charging sites, it gets better

Italy now added to the non-Tesla trial - with about 20 of 60 sites opened up.

That's 15 countries

Think it's only Portugal missing in Western Europe.

Alerted by a Tweet from @MarcoRP (@MarcoRPTesla on Twitter) looks like Tesla has done a global Supercharger update.

On first glance no changes for Australia (and they haven't added all the NSW sites we know about), but looking into it, a few pushbacks.

Miriam Vale, Qld - now Q2 2023 - back 1Q
Bundaberg (Childers), Qld - now Q3 2023 - back 2Q
Bairnsdale, Vic - now Q2 2023 - back 1Q (yet another pushback for this site)
 Melbourne (Dandenong), Vic - Q2 2023 - back 1Q
Melbourne (Wheelers Hill), Vic - now Q4 2023 - back 3Q (strange given site in Box Hill is seemingly under construction)
 Mandurah, WA - Q3 2023 - back 2Q

Also as discussed a few posts prior
Bowral, NSW at Centennial Vineyards remains on the map, but without dates.

Mandurah is now Q3 2023 and Lancelin supercharger is gone from the map all together :(

Another change on the Bowral (Centennial Vineyards) site.

The destination charger pin is gone, so just the Coming Soon Supercharge pin remaining.

(Despite the recent install of four V3 destination chargers)
I still see the destination charger coming soon pin, as well as supercharger, but the pin priority seems to have inverted. By default if you look for all tesla locations the supercharger pin is visible. If you hide supercharger locations you can see the destination charger pin that was hiding underneath.

Well that's changed again.
The Destination ref had disappeared altogether yesterday

So with this week's openings, I think that completes the site openings for the year.

Just Cann River, Vic (4 stalls) awaiting electrification in the New Year.

So 2022 Supercharger openings in Australia totalled
9 sites, 58 stalls
We also lost 2 sites, 8 stalls with the flooding permanently closing Brisbane (Toombul), Qld and the Horsham, Vic sled being removed.

The openings were probably a bit underdone given its estimated the number of Tesla's in Aus almost doubled with the introduction of the Y and some big deliveries of the 3.

2023 is shaping up to be even bigger with 15 sites currently on Tesla's Coming Soon map, and expectation that some of the 30 part-NSW Govt funded sites might also be built in 2023.

Based on prior years we should see a map update early in the New Year.
