Here's my thought on this; By all reports when deliveries speed up in the next week or two Tesla will be allocating 15 minutes to each customer delivery, far less than historically. That 15 minutes is a very personal experience between the Tesla delivery specialist and the person/family getting the car, I think after waiting 3 years for a model 3 it's going to often be an emotional experience, not sure new owners would want another Tesla driver poking around, I'd also think that after 3 years of desperately waiting new owners would know more about the model 3 operating systems than Tesla model X and S drivers do. Once the car is down the road it's then a good opportunity for new owners to bond with existing experienced owners to discuss the finer details like public charging and general operation that can only be gained through experience, this is where drive days, general meet ups and forums like TMC show their worth.
Fair thoughts. Emotional for sure. People will respond to different support. Some will want it, some won’t. I agree, the groups/forums all have their part to play. It is going to be a wild next few weeks.

Some down to Earth advice on how to manage the stress and the emotions during the Month of September for all those awaiting their Model 3 delivery can be gained from the great Australian psychologist Dr Chopper:

At 0:48sec there is specific reference to his medical title .... and I would not argue with HIM about it!

If the various leaders of the Aussie-NZ various Tesla groups reach out to Tesla to offer help, they might be willing to have a coordinated volunteer army assist. The social influencers and press can help rally the Teslarmy.

The tasks people did were things like downloading/setting up the app/ bluetooth pairing/ driver profiles/ q&a and generally assisting while the Tesla staff focussed on the transaction process - speeding up and helping all to have a good experience

I would help, even if not an existing owner, if it meant my car was delivered sooner - not everyone is tech savvy.
Very interested in your post Veda. Being new to both Tesla cars and EVs we would really appreciate personal input. As we’re having our car transported to Canberra, was wondering how we would cope without a delivery person to do the introductions to our new car. How does transported delivery work? Is there someone to explain details? If not a local Tesla owner’s assistance would be VERY much appreciated. Also appreciate all your tips/insights/knowledge Veda and other members - this forum is amazing.

When tesla called to sort out my Canberra delivery, I was told it’s basically delivered on a flatbed, I sign and the car is mine. If I have any questions can call a 1-800 number. Obv the tow truck driver isn’t going to offer any assistance lol

So I couldn’t help going back for another peek...

I got a call from a delivery specialist on Thursday and they followed up with an email later. The email contained a link to this private video:

I'm not sure if this vid has been posted before? Anyway, it seems pretty comprehensive. You can download the manual ahead of time and have a quick read so you know where all the key features are. That and this video should be more than enough, it's not like the delivery specialist will tell you anything more.

So are you going to buy the car, or not? If not, then cancel the order and be done with it. If you are, refunding your money would incur administrative expenses on Tesla’s part, for no significant good reason: they’d have to mark the order unpaid, transfer funds (which they might not have on hand; they might have made payment to the USA, for example, and hence might only have minimal unallocated funds for unbudgeted expenses), and chase you for a new payment when the car is ready. (Which, by all accounts, will only be a week or two later than originally thought.)

In short, your expectations are unrealistic. Either cancel, or deal with it.
Calm down. All I've reported is the facts. There's no need to get personal in your replies.

Pity it's not. If hurricane Dorian hits Space X in Florida then moves West and does Fremont and Sparks in Nevada you won't,get anything back from the administrator but you would have got the car if it was.
Well if I believed the "short sellers" of Tesla stock (which I don't), they are permanently at risk of going under and you point would be very pertinent. However, as I seem to be creating friction by discussing the situation here on the forum I'll won't expand on the subject any more.

Nice one.
I couldn't make that embedded one bigger so found the source instead: Model 3 Guide AUNZ from Tesla, Inc on Vimeo

I do agree. For some reason Tesla seems to evoke the inner apple fan boi in people. Lot of militant Teslans out there. It's just a car. Elon is not a god. We can be civil. No need for Lese-Majeste laws here haha.

You can't take anything personally on these forums. If you don't like it just pm him that he's a wanker, or down vote the comment. And move on.

Also just to give a tip, if you click on the person's profile and then click ignore, it hides all posts by the person so they dont bother you again.
