If anyone is concerned about buying a CPO sight unseen, don't be. Although the wait was long, it was the best auto buying experience I have had.

I emailed my delivery specialist about the missing PFM and within a couple of hours he emailed to apologize and say they were ordering the new parts and they will upgrade the mirrors when I drop my car off for the other small items on the due bill (scratch on nose cone, some marks on the seats, full detail, wax, buff, etc).

Are they covering the mirror retrofit, or are you paying? If you are paying, do you mind sharing how much they are charging for this?
It's going to be around $1,600 I believe. I told them if it doesn't have the wiring harness not to do it as that would bump the price up to over $3,000. That's not worth it in my opinion, and really $1,600 is already a little steep, but I'm still a little bit in the euphoria stage so buying the retrofit for it doesn't seem so bad.
Not super stoked, but as we know it's a dice roll with these cars as to what you get.

@Dreamer I went ahead and ordered my CPO Model S. :) Do you mind sharing the price for your CPO MODEL S? I am trying to convince myself that after several months of research I made the right choice.. It will be by far the most expensive vehicle that I have ever owned :D

I do not have the final price yet but it will be over 55k. They are moving my car from Hawaii to Atlanta which cost me 3k for freight only. Since you got it from somewhere in the states maximum amount you will pay is $1500. Congrats on your purchase! Share some pictures when you have!! :)

Thanks @Dreamer. Congratulations on your purchase as well :) My vehicle is being shipped from Massachusetts. I had to pay $750 for transportation costs which is well below what you have to pay. However, as long as you found what you were looking for I guess it's worth it. I will share some pics as soon as I get my hands on them :D

My P85 P040xx with tech package does not have mirrors that can do this, FYI.

So you don't have this "Mirrors Auto Tilt" switch in Controls...Settings.. Vehicle?

Been wanting a Tesla for several years now and started seriously considering making the jump when the pre-owned prices started to come down. I went for a test drive last week to see how I liked the car and obviously was sold right away. I mentioned that I want a CPO, so my sales rep got in touch with me the next day with a car that met pretty much all my wants (pano, auto-pilot, price below $60k)! I've been patiently reading the forums and getting ready for my delivery in a few weeks.

Much to my disappointment, today I got a followup email that the car has been in an accident and they are on the search for a replacement. Obviously I don't want a wrecked car, but this seems a little odd to me as I've seen several others post with similar stories. Are they really having cars wrecked that much - or is this something else going on? What have others experiences been like?

There are AP cars out there below $60k? There must still be a "hidden" inventory because I am not seeing any CPO AP cars on EV-CPO

Edit: ok, there are a few in the hidden inventory. Time to set up a new alert now that I know this is possible.

They are extremely rare.

When I started looking about a month ago, the last CPO sold with AP had been in December. That's around 8 months with none of them coming on the market. I was lucky to get an alert from ev-cpo a couple weeks ago, and got one (~$63k). A couple others followed within a few days after that, but yes, you have to have luck on your side to get one. Know what you want and will accept, how much you'll pay, and be ready to pull the trigger very quickly.

There was an 85D with autopilot for $65K recently. So there is some available here and there.

I've also been hunting for the AP cars but prefer dual motor which usually puts it out of my range. There was a 70D yesterday that was pretty stripped down for $65k but living in CO that kinda doesn't make sense to do since I can get a stripped down 60D for about the same price after $7500 and $6000 ($5000 starting next year) tax rebates. So the wait continues... If anything I'll just keep waiting for my Model 3 and hopefully buy a pretty loaded M3 for ~$60k

ETA: When I first reached out to my CPO advisor he had a classic 60 with AP for $55k. I really wanted AWD or I would have jumped on it. Looking back, I kind of wish that I had :)
