Always set GALA to off on everything, it’s really annoying for me. And on an EV you only have road noise - so to force drivers to have increasing audio volume for no reason .... that would not be good !

GALA has been an option that could be turned off and adjusted in cars I have had previously. Volume at 20mph around town where the car is almost silent is not right when travelling at 70. Ideally I’d like the volume to adjust for the background noise level, not just speed, because road noise can vary enormously depending on road surface.

Have a read about DIRAC Live - this would be a great setup to have.

I find GALA totally irritating, but as with all things it’s not a right/wrong just a preference ! If they ever introduced it hopefully it can be defeated.

Quick read about DIRAC. tells me it should make the sound great, probably better than GALA, but adjusting the volume to compensate for background noise surely has to be the first step in any case? At least GALA tries to do that. At the moment it is necessary to adjust volume frequently to compensate for speed and road surface.

Speed dependent volume is not a good thing ! Hope that doesn’t become a reality.

Ive had speed dependent volume fot years in my beamers, its a goood thing in my opinion, why not?

Same. Haven’t checked car but release notes online suggest nothing new will be on there for existing delivered Model 3s.

Might not be global thing, but after update to 40.8, my charging started and completed notifications were turned off in the app.
They were on yesterday.
