First sight of 2020.40.x in the states. Non UK bias can be found in the global 'Software: Firmware Updates, Features, Tesla App' section at 2020.40.x. The global section may discuss update information sooner than that appearing here. Please be aware that not all features and functionality discussed in the global area may be appropriate to or available in the UK and Ireland region.
Someone on one of the UK facebook groups also seems to have got the update. Unfortunately had blank release notes.
Hi. Unfortunately no way to het wifi connection and i should install 2020.36.11. When available, 2020.40.x, will skip 2020.36.11 and install the newest one? Thanks
Looks like we'll get speed sign detection on highways Also: PIN for glovebox and priority bluetooth device https://twitter.com/tagueja/status/1311274169540239360?s=20
This is a super minor gripe, but I wish the PIN could be longer than 4 digits. Still, beggars choosers etc.
set TACC at current speed. Perhaps if I keep saying those 5 words it will magically happen below the indicated speed limit as well as above it.
really want this.. engaging TACC & autosteer is driving me nuts at the moment when it keeps resetting the speed
Keep forgetting I have a glovebox. Not sure I'll need a PIN to secure the original microfibre cloth that's in there.
Bluetooth priority is very definitely a big improvement. At a guess I think that my car picks the wrong phone around 70% to 80% of the time when both of us are out and about somewhere.
I assume the glovebox pin things is for the US where people carry handguns in there. Wonderful place, something to aspire to.
Most useful thing in this release for me, is extending the speed sign reading to highways. Always assumed it would be rolled out in next release. Should be useful for temporary motorway speed reductions. I wonder if it will read gantry speed signs?
Because one day, that microfibre cloth, in its original packaging, will be worth more that the price of an M3 now.
Agree. I’m scared to allow my misses to drive car and engage TACC. I’ve had scary moments when car accelerated at speed and always having to slow it down to current speed.
