After asking chat to see if they can apply the VIN to my order, I was told the following:

I didn't want to push it as to remain polite, and not really knowing what online chat can do, so I'll just wait for now. I hope something comes along in the next few days... I'll be annoyed if not!
What is interesting though is that all my order docs have dissapeared from my account... I can only see very limited info about my order atm.
