I asked this question a while back and I don’t think it was settled.
Is there any reason not to apply for an HOV sticker as soon as you receive your license plates? From what I understand, the current sticker color expires at the end of this year and next year’s sticker will be the last, expiring at the end of 2023. If I were to apply for a sticker this year, will it be valid through 2023? Or will it expire before that?

Congrats!!! I was just thinking - I don't think anyone in CA got a new VIN today.... but here you are. Very exciting!

ah yes. funding is exhausted but there is a different program called Rebate Now.

Surprisingly that trim was never fixed even tho its a demo car
9 months is the difference between now and waiting until next year.

Well after my constant looking I received my VIN tonight on my MYP MSM on White no FSD! Very excited. Vin is 209XXX and and estimated delivery of 06/08-06-12. Ordered on 05/05 and picking up in Carlsbad. Very excited. Now the unexciting part of awaiting for them to ask for payment.
Overall it looks great. Minus that trin piece and the RR wheel has a curb rash on the rim. Got scheduled an appointment for coming Thursday.
But yeah, no matter if yoy wait for a new one or get a demo, just driving it after delivery makes it all so much worth it. Wife loves it too!

Nice. Where did you this? Link? I think I still might hold off then. From what I understand, even if I get my car next week, it’ll take about a month to get the plates and then another couple of months to get the stickers. I probably won’t start my commute till September or October so it would only be 3 or 4 months without. Of course I could run the risk of it taking forever next year even if I submit on Jan 1.
