Picked up my MYLR on Thursday. VIN 239xxx. Ordered January of this year but placed it on hold for my own reasons. Released hold sometime mid July. EDD with ever changing dates that initially showed end of July-August 12. Then on 8/6 stated delivery on 8/4. Could not get a hold of anyone but eventually a delivery specialist called on 8/4 but would not allow me to reschedule, so ended up picking up the car on 8/5 by taking time off from work. Car only has a couple of issues, the plastic liner under the hood has a gap on the left and I can see that it missed the retainer clip and the driver side door needs a lot of force to close. I have not scheduled a service visit yet because I want to see if other issues appear. Car is great but the delivery service or lack of communication could have been better.

I got an email last night to update my trade-in odometer as it's been over 30 days. Did that and my EDD returned to 9/21-9/30 this morning. I don't think the two things are linked but who knows...I've read about so much weirdness in these forums that I wouldn't rule it out.

We got her home today! Received VIN Friday (243xxx) with scheduled home delivery for Tuesday, Aug 10th, but I couldn’t wait after learning the Y was already at the Rocklin SC.

I couldn’t reach anyone by phone so we visited the SC in person. The delivery specialist said they could prepare the car today but to come back in three hours. No problem!

The car looked great! Paint and panel alignments all looked good. Coat hooks opened and closed. Checked all the common issues and everything was good. Quick calculation indicated 100% SoC equates to 329 miles. Only real issue is that two doors require force to close. Set an appointment to get it adjusted later. The other “issue” is more my OCD noticing the rectangle VIN cutout at the base of the windshield appears ripped or torn.

Quickly installed the floor mats, console organizer, and mud flaps. The Basenor mud flaps deserve special mention as they installed easily with a solid and secure fit. They even include clips for extra retention but honestly seemed plenty secure without them (I still used the clips per instructions). Also no issues removing the screw underneath for the rear mud flap installation.

I mean this in the nicest way possible when I say I hate you.

Bro ima be so pissed if don’t honor my original trade in amount. The agreement states that it is valid for 60 days but I’m sure they can change it at any time. That’s the only reason I traded in.

It's quickly becoming Plan B for me. Carvana already offered me $2K more than Tesla, but I'm not willing or able to live without wheels for an indefinite period of time. So if Carvana or Vroom can move quickly enough once I have a confirmed delivery date, I'll go that path.

I’d be nervous as hell! I was scoping out where I can park my car at work! Hoping no one would ding the door. I found a spot with charging that no one ever parks at after weeks of watching it. LOL Probably because it’s the furthest spot by my building.
I’m more worried that someone will see a nice car and break in, etc. Ughhhh!

I ended going with carvana myself, they offered me 3k more than Tesla for my car. The process was so easy, came to my house, checked it in less than 15 and tow truck came later to pick it up. Money in two days via direct deposit. I recommend for less hassle and more money.

For anyone who has a vehicle to trade in, I figured I'd chime in so you consider another alternative. Between Vroom, Carvana, and a local Porsche dealership, the highest I was offered for my Porsche Cayenne was $24k. In this crazy hot used car market, if your car is not too common of a car, then consider selling it yourself Private Party. I ended up selling my Cayenne for $33k (yes, $9,000 more than the highest offer from these companies that buy cars). You just need to do some research on how much to price your vehicle (look at kbb values, what comparable cars are selling for/sold for) and then list it for sale yourself. Yes, it's not as easy or convenient as quickly getting rid of it to Carvana, Car Max, Vroom, etc... but if you're not in a hurry to sell your current vehicle, patience will be rewarding. Remember, you only need one buyer whose willing to pay your asking price.
