Finally got an EDD. I ordered a red MY LR, 5 seat, with 20” induction wheels and black interior on 8/4. EDD is 11/12-12/2. I wonder how many times it will change before I get a vin and a real date? The fun begins.

I listened to that advice from some wise person early in my order history. I have 90 days of EDDs. According to that history, my first actual EDD dates, about a week after my original order date, I would have received my MYLR in late June. Then in early June, according to the EDDs, I should have received my MYLR in early July. Quite a ride. Mr Toad's wild ride.

Three months is about average right now.New to this group: MY LR red/white order date 07/11 EDD: 10/4-10/24, soft date from SA 10/12

If you complain as much as I do in these threads you’ll have a well documented time line
Should keep refreshing if the order doesn’t go through for the other person. I saw a MSM with inductions and what I wanted but it would have been $1500 more than when I originally ordered. I already waited this long..what’s a few more weeks for me. But I still look at inventory just in case I change my mind

I spoke to SA yesterday and he said he’s been working with tesla for 3 years now and based on his experience for me not to pay attention to the EDD. He then gave me a soft date of when we can actually expect the car and to be able to time our loan application

If you think about it that “soft date” you were provided with is just pretty much the middle of your EDD (10/4 - 10/24).

Im not sure if you have to have a certain post count first before you can see the options but it’s usually at the bottom of a post.

For what it’s worth, the SA I communicated with who was the most helpful said he saw a “soft build date” of 8/10. I got my VIN assigned 8/11, which makes me think the car was built yesterday and assigned to me today. Spot on. Could be a coincidence but my boy Sheamus might be a seer.

Sheamus is my SA as well. The MYP must get VIP treatment because it took me several emails over a week to get a response from him that my 5/30 MYLR, White, 20" would probably be built end of this month early next month. I don't think he looked for my "soft build date" he also seemed to think I was getting a M3.

Honestly I’ve found that none of the employees tend to be particularly helpful via email, I have had all my best conversations by either just walking into the store or calling. I don’t think email is a big part of their job. I could be wrong though.
