My quotes are about 2k too ($1100-1200 for electrician portion, permits about $700-800 for my area). This is not including the charger itself which is now $550. I’m not sure if that’s normal but I feel better knowing you’re getting the same as well. I’m in the bay too so we could be getting quotes from the same places lol.

500 for the charger, 250 for the permit and 400 for the electrician.

Seems pricey unless you have a really complex installation. But, if it's just adding a breaker in main panel, drilling a hole in the garage wall and running a conduit, it should be less.

$400 for parts, $500 for charger, $200 for permit. Installing it myself, labor wise it's about a day, at 100/hr, you're pretty much spot on for $2k.

I suspect taxes are applied if you buy FSD after receiving the car. It is computer software and when I buy computer games I pay sales tax. Best to ask Tesla if fsd sales are taxed If uncertain.
