I did the order entirely on line. I haven't received an email with the VIN, but it showed up on My Tesla a week ago.
Did you check your spam? Or that your email address wasn't entered incorrectly?

That's what I got. So far, that's all that I got. I'm not complaining - just wondering. For comparison, our order was confirmed on 1/20, and on 1/21 I received an email with the subject, "Your Model S Has Been Assigned a VIN." Then three days later I received the "Charging your Model S" email.
This is probably obvious, but if you're concerned, you can call the Service Center where you're going to take delivery and ask to speak to one of their delivery specialists. That's what I got. So far, that's all that I got. I'm not complaining - just wondering.
I don't have anything from Tesla in spam.
I thought about that, but I'm not even sure which service center that will be. Could be Atlanta, as it was for my aborted purchase 15 months ago, or it might be Charlotte, which is somewhat closer. Anyway, in another week or so, if I haven't heard from anyone "official" I'll call one or the other. For right now, I was just wondering if this is the typical start to a purchase. This is probably obvious, but if you're concerned, you can call the Service Center where you're going to take delivery and ask to speak to one of their delivery specialists.

I have a question that I am hoping someone can help me out with. I confirmed my order on 1/22 and received my VIN on 1/23. Where on the my Tesla site should I see the estimated delivery?
You raised my hopes, only to have them dashed. Not today...My crystal ball estimates you should go into production this Thursday.

Next ship to Europe is the RoRoShip "Tarago". Departure Feb 4 from Long Beach an arrival at Zeebrugge March 8 [emoji6] Mine is also on this ship [emoji41]
how did you find out with certainty which ship your model s is on? my DES consistently states there's no way for him to find out.
#Bonaire You're crystal ball wasn't that far off. Went into production today! To have a happy life, we all must at least try to lower our expectations. Maybe the next few days then. The S in Tesla stands for "Soon".
My Model S (85D) was confirmed on Jan. 30, received VIN number later that same day. Estimated delivery is listed as "late February - March".
I am TOO excited and keep watching my email for any updates!
