Anyone having issues with a moving delivery appointment date? I had an appointment confirmed for 3/23 at the Fremont factory. Then it moved to 3/24 at the same time on the Tesla app/website, but I did not receive a text. Then today on 3/23, I got a call in the morning confirming 3/24 but later in the afternooon, the app/website moved it to 3/25, same time! I called customer service and they don't have any reason for it and can only tell that it was requested by the customer (?!?!). I'm not sure if it's going to keep on happening and if I should just show up on the old date and see if I can get my car.

FYI. If they try to push you to take home delivery, tell them you want pick up at showroom/service center, They did not allow me to check interior before I accept the car, so I had no choice but to click accept and hand over the $60k check. IMHO, as a consumer, we should have the rights to check on an item before purchasing. I was lucky that I didn’t find issues w the interior of the car, but some might not be as fortunate.

Who to call to schedule an delivery location preferance? I too want to pick it up from the Fremont showroom. I ordered for the car at Fremont showroom itself.

The torture of constantly shifting EDDs has finally ceased. Picked up up my MYLR on Monday at Fremont. No problems identified while at the factory but found four (hopefully) minor ones after arriving home.

We picked up our new MY yesterday and I wish I could say it was a pefect experience but it had a few issues.

Interior was clean, no quality/fit/finish issues to be found other than one smudge on the glass roof and that is just being picky. The exterior has it's share of minor issues. Panel gaps are okay with a few being a little inconsistant but nothing overly out of line, but paint quality leaves a lot to be desired.

Several paint nibs, a few small scratches that look easily buffed out, and a couple spots it looked like the SC poorly attempted to used TU paint to correct something. But the largest defect was the left rear door looks like they had an issue and attempted to sand/respray at the factory. Hard to explain, but best way to put it is a 5x5in area with straight sanding marks that were painted and cleared over. It is decently noticeable, so we have service ticket open for that an few of the other small paint defects. I know that doing a full detail and ceramic coat will take care of most the issues, but the door needs to be addressed. Not surprised by the paint issues, but just dissappointing to see such a lack of paint quality from an OEM in 2023. Gotta hit that Q1 numbers I guess!!

SC was super busy, to the point we had zero contact w/ any associate until we were done and went inside to verify the 7day/100mi initial issues reporting limit. We asked about the issues we found and were told to submit a service ticket via the app, which we already did on our own, so just a very odd experience, but maybe it is to be expected?

All other functionally worked as expected (kinda sad we have to even say this, lol!), and the car drives perfect and has no booming or road noise issues.
Were you provided a timeline for those issues to be fixed?

Raise a service request to get it fixed. Don’t take no for an answer and threaten to escalate if they won’t fix it for free. That usually works for me :)

We put in a service ticket for the issues, it was originally scheduled for 3/29, and has been moved out to 4/5. SC states their paint specialist is only there on Wednesdays and behind schedule. Most of the small issues could and should be corrected with a detail, and I would just do that myself it there wasn't the larger paint quality issue on the left rear door. We'll see how it goes, I'm trying to be positive about it.

Other than those issues, the car works and drives great. Paint quality can be fixed, so all the gaps and mechanicals being solids is more important. Frustrated w/ the service or lack of, but I also didn't have very high expectations.

I picked up my model y in Dublin yesterday, already took it back today to have the glass roof replaced. It sits lower so does not algin with the trunk.
This is in addition to the other 14 minor issues (minor paint scratches, backseat cup holder too tight and has noise when opening, side window trim rubber torn, pushing the 2 buttons in the trunk does not fold down back sear, etc.) I found and will submit another service request, set for Apr 13th.
