Tesla Model 3 in Australia

If they are cars for delivery, you'd expect a load to land in Sydney shortly. Only ship I can see on its way from Auckland to Sydney is ANL TONGALA, which was previously in Oakland, near SF
I'm leaning toward these being for delivery, actually. I just have a hard time imagining what they'd be doing otherwise. Trucking them across the straight just to do a promo seems... unnecessary? And there's no tesla presence in the SI for them to be going to.

I agree as the only other reason I can think is winter testing. Would love to see the Raven suspension on the 3...

Tongala is almost midway across the Tasman, and due in Sydney on the 27th.
Public - Google Drive. The others coming are on the spreadsheet

I feel the same way. Tongala spent a day in port in Oakland loading and unloading containers. The next ship Seoul Express spent 12 hours in Oakland, due Sydney August 9.

If we hear of vins assigned from next week, then this will confirm the thinking.

There has been some good NZ spotters. We just need some good Australian ones as well at Botany

1. “Cars that Are on the way” - on a ship now.
2. Cannot assign vins yet
3. Web update coming getting ready for delivery

I think Perth deliveries are going to lag the eastern states by at least a couple of weeks. The cars obviously have to catch a train first and then be prepared for re-delivery once they arrive and are transferred to Tesla's local holding contractor. Tesla is likely to fly over some delivery specialists to Perth once the initial madness of the eastern seaboard deliveries has abated.

At an optimistic stab, I'm gunna pick no sooner than week 3 (or 4) in September - in Perth.

Would you like some sandpaper too?

Optimistic stab? Your glass is nearly empty but I'm in Perth too ... I don't want to look how far back the Tesla finance SMS's were mentioned here but I only just got one today (reserved day one, ordered day one). I might go on holiday for a few weeks.
