Hello Tesla Community! Noob here but excited to apart of this community.

A dream became a reality on June 11th when placing an order for my 30th birthday:

Model Y Long Range Blue 20” 5 seater Autopiliot

I’ve been reading though the comments and now I’m starting to get worried if my actual delivery date will be August 13 - September 2. My Sales Advisor sounded very optimistic that it will be delivered by end of the month (June).

is this part of the emotional roller coaster experience that I’ve been hearing apart?

Can wait to hear from your responses!

Dude! I bought a MY for my 30th as well 😂
Also blue LR for 30th!!! Happy birthday to us!!

DD back to 6/20-30 after being told yesterday at century city that car was being made as we speak w target DD 6/17. Let’s see…fingers crossed!

I ordered the same build as you, minus tow, on 4/9… Showing 7/18-8/07.. Makes no sense, especially seeing others here in CA with the exact build, who ordered over a month after, that already have theirs.. I honestly never thought I would say that I prefer the traditional car dealership model, but I have ordered MANY vehicles from them and never had the pure uncertainty and erratic changes that I have had with this order. There is absolutely ZERO correlation between order date/options/spec and delivery.. I’m convinced they draw our names out of a hat for delivery sequence.

That sounds most accurate to me also - no ryhme, no reason, just random.

I placed an order in the beginning of May. EDD is now October. Doesn't give me faith in the company. Tempted to cancel my order and move on to a company with more experience building cars.

I think that experience has nothing to do with it. Looks like they are on a 3 month from order to delivery timeline right now. So, expect it end of July. Or you can get a Mach E, the closest thing to a Y, and expect to pay a mark up at the stealership. I'm just going to wait until my Y arrives. Patience is a virtue.

I have not had a chance to go through a check list that I downloaded from the internet. The exterior is near perfect based on rough inspection. A couple of minor imperfections inside near the glass roof - roof itself is great just the trim edges. I will do a full check in an hour or so when the sun outside is not so strong.
Do you mind sharing the checklist? I have one for the M3 but need one for the MY. It's being dropped off at my house tomorrow.

So I called the Dublin delivery team to see if they had any info as to why my VIN showed up yesterday and then disappeared. The woman I spoke with said the VIN that appeared was a "pre production" VIN that can get assigned early if it shows that you're doing 3rd party financing. Basically so you can give that VIN to your financing company and get the money ready. I changed from 3rd party to Tesla financing about 3 weeks ago but she said there was still an "annotation" on my account that said I was doing 3rd party financing, hence the VIN. But then the system figured out (?) that I wasn't doing 3rd party and took it away.

Basically, she said I should still get my car in the next few weeks and that everything is good to go on my side -- just waiting for it to be built. Whatever. I'll believe it when I see it.
So I'm starting to lend a little credence in what the delivery specialist told me this morning. The VIN that I received yesterday (which was subsequently removed) was a 213xxx VIN. If you look at the spreadsheet, only up to about 209xxx have been delivered (only one 210 and two 211s). So the fact that that I got a 213 makes me think it really was a pre-prod VIN as most of the 212, 213, and 214 don't even have a delivery date set. The spreadsheet is a very, very small sample size so it has to be taken with a grain of salt. But I think it could indicate there at least 3 or 4 thousand cars that have either just been made or about to be made.

And the beat goes on... Pushed a day again . Went from 6/15-6/29 to 6/16-6/29.
We have almost the same configuration except I have the black interior. I ordered 4/29 with a SB pick-up. I spoke with someone at the SB location today and they looked into my delivery. They stated I should expect my Y to roll off the production line the first week of July and then it would still be about 7-10 more days for it to be delivered to me. My EDD is June 30th - July 20th. I once was as early as June 4th - June 20th.
