I have a couple of questions and was wondering if someone here can help.
1. My current EDD is June 23-30. I have opted for self arranged financing and I am worried that if Tesla decides to call me on 30th to pick the car on the same day, then it might not be possible for my credit union to send a check in such a short time frame. They take 1 day due to overnight shipping. Is getting a notification to pickup on the last day of the quarter a possibility? How to handle this situation
2. Do you recommend going through tesla arranged financing in this situation? I have a much better rate through my credit union, it's just that getting the check from them might take a day.
3. Is there a way my credit union(Digital Federal Credit Union) can send the payment electronically to Tesla? If yes, how? If not, who should the check be made out to?
4. In the rare case something drastic is wrong with the car and I need to reject delivery, how can I reject in case I get home delivery?

That sucks. This is exactly why I'm not applying for any financing until I have a VIN assigned. I don't want to get too many hits on my credit for a single loan. Tightly coupled inquiries should be seen as a single application. Credit inquiries months apart may not be seen a single purchase.
Yeah I clicked financing too early in my account. And then wanted to get it matched with DCU to combine the pulls, but didn't realize DCU is 45 days instead of 60. Which put me at the earliest possible delivery.
What is your EDD?
June 18-30. loan expires the 19th lol

My DCU loan expires today. I'm really pissed at my SA for pushing me to apply for financing asap. I should have known better

From what I've heard, you should get your vin a few days before pickup so that you have time to overnight a check. DCU seemed to only send checks directly to Tesla or to you. I don't think there would be a scenario where you would get a Vin and car in the same day, unless it was preexisting inventory

This was a concern I had as well which is why I switched from my CU to Tesla. My CU (Patelco) was very slow to respond and I wasn't confident they'd be able to deliver in time. I may refi after I take delivery. When I talked to the delivery specialist in Dublin about a month ago, he did say there were sometimes issues getting payment in time, especially from banks/CUs on the East Coast. Whether or not they can send electronically or not depends on the relationship the bank has with Tesla. Again, this is another reason why I just opted for Tesla financing for now and will look at refi after I take delivery.

As for rejecting delivery, if you have home delivery, you have 24 hours or 100 miles to reject. I don't think I've seen someone do that but I assume if you do, they'll just come pick it back up at some point.

OMG guys..Long time lurker here. I just got SOOO lucky. Found a SR for 44k VIN 210** randomly after desperately just trying to find any MR near me.

MSM 19" Inch wheels black interior...So it looks like they ARE still making SRs??? My VIN implies this is a June build? I'm so stunned right now

Wish I just took a demo car back in May 😆... sooo frustrating at this point.. felt defeated last week so just stopped caring.. then the roller coaster began again this week.. stop playing with my emotions tesla.. 😠🤣😡😂
Same here. I keep saying to myself I've accepted the last day of June delivery, but that hasnt stopped me from checking the EDD as the first thing I do when I wake up and the last thing I do before going to bed.

I got my MY yesterday and I ordered it on 6/10. Brand new build (06/2021), not a demo and 11 mile odometer rating. It has 2 small issues that will get fixed (hopefully at my service appointment tomorrow) but otherwise pristine. And I mean GORGEOUS.

I ordered a M3 LR AWD on May 7th but then changed my mind and decided I wanted a MY instead. I returned my Audi A5 on May 31st so I couldn't wait until September, which was the current EDD for a June order on a MY LR AWD.

So I installed a Chrome browser extension to auto-refresh (there are a bunch but I went with Auto Refresh Plus bc it had high ratings). I set it to 7 seconds and created an alert for "less than 50". Unless it says "Demo Vehicle" it's a brand new build straight from Fremont (at least for people who are delivering to the L.A. area). I waited until the configuration I wanted was available and immediately bought it. You have a few seconds before someone else does or it gets assigned to another person waiting to be matched with a VIN/car.

I noticed that this works method currently works with the MY but not M3. My hunch is that Tesla is producing more MYs than M3s and that it hasn't been matching MYs to an existing order until after the vehicle is produced? Who knows. It's all just an assumption. Also, I'm not sure if this works outside of the LA area as I had my search range set to 90011.

Anyway, that's my advice to anyone waiting for a MY. Don't wait for your order.

Congrats. Yeah, I think they are still building SRs -- you just have to call to order them. I'm assuming maybe someone did this and then backed out.

Awesome. What's your VIN range? I think the assumption was that if there was < 50 miles but came from existing inventory that they were showroom models. But if yours was built in June then that would be a real quick showroom showing.

Nope, not a showroom model either. VIN range is 210. It even said "in transit".

Here's one that popped up yesterday. I would say a bunch appear between 2:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon PST, and then one or two throughout the day.

I'm April 1 and have no confidence in me getting my car by the end of the month.
Ha! It sure seems that way for sure! I’m gonna ride this out, but at this point I really don’t think I will do it again.. It’s as if we are all standing in line for ice cream, and they are handing the same flavor we bought to those in line well behind us, even though we are buying from the same store! But, this must be some good $#!+, cuz we’re all still here! Or, maybe it’s because they are the only show in town, cuz I sure as heck would have went elsewhere if not!

I like ice cream. When we bought the 3 in 2018, it was 10 days from order to delivery in December. We ordered the X in early August 2019, and it was supposedly a 2 week delivery time. Well, we sold our car in a week, and ended up waiting 6 weeks for the X (delivery mid September 2019). Wife had to rent a small Mazda for a few weeks. So, this all seems par for the course, yet it sucks to wait every time.
