Can you just use the app or do you need the RFID card/tag to get that pricing?

Not sure, but the card gets posted to you as part of the sign up process so can easily use that.

Oh dear, that didn't last long. And I only just registered an hour ago
I guess the catch was that it wasn't going to last.

Still, at least Cobham is now an option if I didn't have enough juice to get home, as I have to do the southern M25/M3 quite a bit and there's not much in the way of charging around there.

Agreed but worth utilising whilst on free vend or in emergency situations.
And more like 200-300% more expensive.

Yeah, the charging model is outrageous really. I'll certainly avoid them if at all possible. The "Maingau" route to reduced rates seems to have been closed now too - 73c per kWh, Europe-wide. That's 170% higher than Tesla charge.

What I should have said is 60% more expensive than the next highest priced provider for equivalent speed chargers (100kW+).

Shell 39p
Fastned 39p

Of course, Shell charge a liitle more because they add some special additives to their electricity to ensure your motors remain clean.

For those with cars form select manufacturers its more like 23p, I would see Ionity as a one off charge if you are in a Tesla
