Maybe you should start a running list with the order so if this thread does get merged the order is preserved?

@HankLloydRight

Might be good to put a Google Spreadsheet with these responses on it so you can track order of response and time to 2 referrals. I was the first one on the last list and already had one referral, if you remember I got the additional referral around a day and a half... (Closer to 32-34 hours) for the first referral

MODS: Please do not merge this thread with the other referral threads. I was running a separate program to post individual referrals on https://ev-cpo.com and was keeping track of people who wanted to be included. Now that you've merged that thread into the mega-referral thread, I now no longer have record of who originally posted in my thread to be included. If you have an issue with this, please let's discuss it. Thank you.

Sorry folks, I don't know why my original thread was merged into the general referral thread, but now it's gone, so let's try again and hope it doesn't get merged. Since essentially all records of that thread are lost, I will revise the rules slightly, as I mentioned in the other now merged thread. The only difference is that I will take all referral links posted in this thread and randomly select one each time the previous person gets two referrals. I will use Random.org to generate random Post# numbers in this thread. If that post has a referral link, that's next. If not, I'll select again.

Here's my original post describing the program:

During the last Tesla Referral program, once I maxed out at 3 referrals, I replaced my referral link (which doesn't work once someone reaches the max limit of referrals) on EV-CPO.com with a link to the Randomized Tesla Referral Links page so buyers could still get the discount and a random owner could get the referral.

This time I'd like to do something a little different. Now that I have maxed out on 5 referrals in the latest referral program, I will be taking referral links posted in this thread (in RANDOM order) and posting one link at a time on EV-CPO.com , until that user receives TWO referrals and the Tesla weekender bag and two entries to win the P90DL Model X.

Based on the Honor System, once that owner receives two referrals they will post to this thread and I'll move the referral link down to the next randomly selected person on the list.

Depending on how it goes, I may put a time-limit for each referral link (say 4 days per link or something like that).

I'm not doing this to compete with the Randomized referral page, which is a great idea, but rather, I'd like to keep track of just how many referrals/sales past 5 that EV-CPO generates for Tesla. Yes, I do realize that we don't know for sure that EV-CPO generated both referrals for each owner, but at least it's something.

If you ALREADY have two or more referrals, please do not post your link here. The idea is to spread referrals out to those who might not get any.
Hank. Wanted to check, but am I still the link for the EV-CPO.com referrals, or did I get chucked too. Just want to know if I need to keep checking.

I did a quick look for you and if you're Bob, it looks like it's still referring to you... (have you gotten one yet?) I was wondering what sort of momentum EV-CPO is getting on these referrals.

I also realized today that there is likely a multiple-day delay between a buyer clicking the referral, and the referral count being reflected in the MyTesla page, I don't think anyone really knows how the process works... Will it only appear when a buyer confirms an order, I think is it five business days after ordering? So that's why I think I should do a time limit like 2 or 3 days per referral link, and then see if the referral credits "roll in" later. Let's say three days per referral link and then see if those who had been selected get any credits shortly (one week or so) after being featured.

@Bgarret -- yes, your link is still active, so let's give it until tomorrow, and then we'll move to the next one.

I was trying to not make more work for myself and not maintaining a duplicate database offline, and the thread would serve that purpose. I'm hoping the mods would talk to me or just give me a warning if they're going to kill the thread.

It's your dream Hank, we are just livin' in it. If I get any referrals, time delayed or otherwise, I will let you know. T-minus 20 hours til Tesla time, after which I will be too busy to check my referral page anyway. Tesla Grin time.

Sounds reasonable...

One would hope that anyone reading the thread for moderation would actually see what you're trying to do.

We ARE going to merge this back in. I will do this tomorrow to give you time to capture the information.

Posting referral links in the forum is considered spamming, except in the main referral thread. So unless you want to all get banned as spammers, I would suggest finding a different way to flag your posts, such as putting @HankLloydRight in each posting.

But it's not spamming in this thread -- this thread is serving an entirely different purpose and it benefits the community and TESLA as a whole. Do you not understand what I'm trying to do? I'm not encouraging people to spam other threads, I just want to collect in one place people's referral link so they can participate in this little program I've created.

Merging it into a mega-thread with all those other posts and discussions will kill the idea entirely, and I'll just end up removing the referral links all together. I don't think that's what the community wants. With 30 days left, we have the capability to generate probably 20 more referrals for TMC members.

If you're going to merge this thread, then I would suggest having one thread specifically for referral links, and another "Referral Discussion" thread to discuss the referral program **without* posting of referral links. Because having hundreds of referral links peppered among serious discussion of the program really is detracting.

@HankLloydRight I have seen many of these threads merge away. I think I started the first one, but lost track as it merged.

Yeah, all the threads that were merged were duplicates -- people starting new threads to discuss the exact same thing and/or post their referral links.. My thread serves a completely different purpose for TESLA and the community.
