I have a question pertaining to the doors on the refreshed X. The way it's worded on Tesla's site ("Automatic opening and closing front doors" -plural), it makes it sound like both of the front doors open as you approach them. Is this the case? Furthermore, do the auto opening doors work if you...
Regarding the X’s self-opening doors, do both the driver and passenger front doors self-present or just the driver’s? Taken from the Model X’s description of features:
“Automatic opening and closing front doors;”
‘doorS’ - plural!
This may be a silly question, but I haven’t found a definitive answer: is there any way to keep the ride height at high/very high indefinitely? I’m asking because I’m interested in purchasing a new X and I’m confused by the post raven suspension settings. I apologize if this has been answered...
I got my Model 3 a little over a week ago and when it would first charge to 80%, it reported a range of 248 miles... A few days later, it started consistently showing 249 miles at 80%, and today it's showing 250 miles at that same level. THE ONLY explanation is that the car will simply increase...
The app works great as a phone key with its hybrid bluetooth/data functionality, but my only issue is walking up to the car and having it be unlocked. It only seems to work half of the time? I'm on the latest version of iOS with the latest app installed, bluetooth enabled, and "always use"...
I just wanted to take a second to really address the re-designed airflow/HVAC system in the Model 3 and share my thoughts on what seems to simply be of a point of interest for most rather than recognized for what it truly is: a marvel of ingenuity and design.
The climate control in the Model 3...
I love EVERYTHING about my model 3, except the trunk... seriously, it’s awful. I don’t know if it’s just my M3, or if everyone is experiencing this, but I have to SLAM the trunk SO HARD for it to actually close. I had to try 3 times last night to get the car to register that it was fully closed...
I just switched from the S to the 3, and I absolutely LOVE IT! However, I noticed that “Always Connected” seems to be missing and the app has to wake the car up to interface with it. I’ve gone through every menu about 20 times in search of both that feature (available in energy saving settings...
Let's face it, the rubber pedals Tesla ships the 3 and non performance S/X with are just sad... I had these little covers on my S that just slipped over the pedals, do you think they will fit on the 3 as well? I can't find any specifically made for the 3 and I'm unsure as to whether the pedals...
Does anyone know where I can find something like this for the Model 3? Maybe something that just covers the part that sits flush agains the door: Invisible Door Handle Protection Covers (Set of 4)
Also something similar that covers the shiny metal that says "Model 3" right when you open the...
I'm selling my S and switching to the 3 for practicality reasons... I thought I'd be bummed, but I'm actually pretty stoked, especially seeing as my VIN was just assigned today... It's in the 8000s :D
Coming from an S, thinking about a 3... Never had to pay supercharging before, approximately how much is it to charge the car up let's say 80% (the long range battery)? I apologize if this has been discussed before, I tried to find it and couldn't locate any solid intel. Thanks!
I'm asking $79,990 for my beloved low milage Tesla Model S 90D (7,300 miles) - note that this is the refreshed design with the improved front fascia - with the following upgrades/amenities:
Free/UNLIMITED Supercharging for LIFE
Dual Motor 90D battery
Midnight Silver Metallic paint
All glass...
due to some personal reasons it’s with a heavy heart I must sell my beloved Model S. In an attempt to run some comps on Craigslist/eBay/panjo, I simply can’t find any comparable Teslas that have sold lately. Does anyone have any recommendations? I’m in the SoCal region near Ventura. Thank you.
My brand new baby got a tiny rock chip on the windshield RIGHT in driver's line of sight the other day... Called my local glass shop and they're sending someone out to fix it, but informed me that it's only 70% quality (when compared to the color of real glass)? Really don't want to pay to have...
My Tesla's T must have been hit directly by a flying rock (ugh)... It left several noticeable scratches right on the T. I want to just take some mother's polish to it, but I read somewhere that Tesla says NOT to use metal polish on the chrome. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Maybe I missed this, but why doesn't the changelog resolve? It's still indexed by google. http://www.teslamotorsclub.com/showwiki.php?title=Model+S+software+firmware+changelog
[Admin note: The new link is here: Model S software/firmware changelog ]
Getting a new MS and I think the grey rims makes it look a little too monochromatic. Can't really find any pictures with the latest Midnight Silver Metallic color + 21" cyclones (in silver). Any help? Thank you :)
Tesla Model S P85 with LOW MILAGE (9,300) - 2013 - Mint Condition!
To start, I need to mention that this Model S P85 is in perfect condition, is garage kept, has EXTREMELY low miles, one owner, is treated as if it were my child and is wrapped in FULL-BODY (clear) paint armor, which has...
configuring the new S (yay!) and I can't decide if the P upgrade it worth it for me. Does anyone know the 0-60 of the non-P 90D? I can't seem to find it anywhere :(
Thank you!
Sorry if this has been discussed already (couldn't find it). What portion of the reservation number (RN) that appears in the my tesla account corresponds to your position in the rapidly growing list of M3 res holders?
Okay, quick background: I placed a reservation back in February 2015 and received my configuration notice the beginning of last month. After some slight financial cutbacks, I made the decision to just cancel my X res after I've had the chance to test drive one... However, I've recently begun...
Okay, so unfortunately I'm not able to configure my X at this time (:crying:) and I received a configuration email a while ago... Instead of getting a refund from Tesla, does anyone know anything about selling the reservation and/or would anyone like to purchase mine?
Can it be done? Let's face it, three or 4 ugly stickers = too much & they deface the gorgeousness of the S. If you get pulled over in the carpool will a cop let you off if you state that you're "waiting" for your HOV stickers in the mail? Would it be best to have them in the glove compartment to...
Okay, so v7.1 adds homelink auto open/close for all Model S cars, right? Well, Tesla also updated their iOS app on the 10th and it states "use the app to... open/close a homelink-controlled garage door (for U.S. vehicles only)" as being one of the changes. I simply can't figure out how to...
I hope the whole robotic charging arm concept is intended for just superchargers and not a pricy "sold separate" option to make the 'summon' feature truly great. Instead of selling a possible robot charger, why don't they just develop something similar to the drive-over wireless charger for the...
Okay, the thing that annoys me the most is a dirty windshield. I made the mistake of trying to use the same glass cleaner and a (clean) microfiber that I use on the outside, now I can't get this disgusting film off the inside! How do you guys clean the inner windshield? Thanks!
3G is INSANELY SLOW - maps take FOREVER to load and I want to upgrade mine to LTE... Has anyone done it?
$500 doesn't seem bad, wish they had stuck to Elon's initial "it'll be a free upgrade" tweet, but whatever.
Contemplating selling my car - stats in my sig w/ 7,800 miles... Got an offer for 64.5k, kind of sucks since I paid $113k out the door in June of 2013, is that price in alignment with the current market for used Teslas? Thank you!
Okay, drove an AP car for the first time the other day... The advisor who accompanied me on the test drive told me he had specifically chosen that car because they've driven it enough that it was able to "learn" what to do in most situations. Does anyone have firsthand experience with the Model...
Tesla Model S P85 with LOW MILAGE (7,800) - Mint Condition - Open To Negotiations
To start, I need to mention that this Model S P85 is in perfect condition, is garage kept, has EXTREMELY low miles, one owner, is treated is if it were my child and is wrapped in FULL-BODY (clear) paint armor...
Okay, so I currently have a 2013 P85 (specs in sig or HERE: Mint Condition P85 with LOW MILAGE (7,800mi) - $72,000 OBO) and I want to trade up to a car with autopilot - I tested it yesterday and now I'm hooked !!!!! The only thing is, when comparing the P85D and the 85D, the $30,000...
To start, I need to mention that this Model S is in perfect condition, is garage kept, has EXTREMELY low miles, one owner, is treated is if it were my child and is wrapped in FULL-BODY (clear) paint armor, which has preserved its paint perfectly - ONY 7,800 miles - $72,000 OBO - NO lowballs...
Tesla CPO low-balled me for my perfect condition P85 (stats in sig) with VERY low milage (6,800). I'd like to hear from some people who have experience selling their past Model S vehicles, if possible. Thanks!
Does anyone know if AP2 is coming any time soon? Heard some talk that it might be because Model X design studio seems to indicate two cameras? Thinking about getting a new S and I'd obviously want AP 2 if it's going to be a thing... Does anyone know whether current AP will function on surface...
I've decided it's time to trade in my 2013 P85 Model S for one that has the latest goodies (dual motors and AP). However, after reading through these forums, the speculation and rumors suggesting a refresh is imminent have kind of made me hesitant. Not as concerned about a possible design...
Is it possible that the 0-60 times for the 70D/90D are faster than what's listed on their site (similar to how it was with the S for the longest time)? Sadly, P90D is a little out of my price range... Therefore, I'd likely get the 90D but 4.8 seconds seems so slow... My single motor P85 from...
Sorry if this has been addressed already, but have the touchscreen steering wheel buttons been removed in the production version of the X like the larger touchscreen and camera mirrors were?
Still trying to decide whether to spend the money on the X when my turn to configure rolls around.... How likely do you think the possibility of autopilot 2.0 (and/or other groundbreaking features) being introduced between early - late 2016 / early 17 is? Basically, I don't wanna end up in...
Friends of mine are in one of two camps concerning design:
1. Ugly (looks too similar to a Prius due to aerodynamic design compromises)
2. Sexy
Personally, I keep flipping between the two - what about you guys? Kinda sad the nose cone is gone, personally.
I purchased my Model S about a year after the car entered production (I took delivery in June of 2013)... At the time, the car was brand new and Tesla had made virtually no significant changes to the car. However, shortly thereafter, updates started flying in faster than Apple refreshes their...
My 2013 Tesla P85 (6,500 miles) now has a range of 204 miles at about 85% charge - the loaner I just had (also a P85) had a range of about 220 at 85%, yet it has 2,000+ more miles than my car and it was newer. I thought lithium ion degradation was related to how many times the cells were charged...
I haven't been on the forums in a while, but I noticed (here: Model S software/firmware changelog - Tesla Motors Club - Enthusiasts & Owners Forum) that there isn't a direct link to the 6.2 features thread... Does one exist? I received the update earlier this week, is anyone else on 6.2?
