What's the new display bug?

One is the low contrast which makes the information hard to see in bright light. T.

That's not a bug, that's a feature.

When neroden said this:
Let alone to fix the *new* and dangerous display bugs introduced in recent software versions.

.. it sure sounds like there is something *NEW* as in very recent. The low-contrast display has been out for several months now.

One is the low contrast which makes the information hard to see in bright light. This means that you have to take your eyes off the road longer to get the information. There are others.
Thx @jerry33 , but I read @omarsultan 's question as rhetorical, meaning: "hey @neroden, what's the point of wading in with no context and posting something cryptic like that without explaining what you mean?" That's how I interpreted anyway! Gave him a like ;)

I was referring to the contrast problems. It's a bug to make the speedometer harder to read.

I disagree. As a software developer, that is not a bug, as the display was developed and is working exactly as designed. It might be a feature that you don't like, or causes problems with visibility, or bad design in the first place, but it's not a bug.

I wouldn't call it a bug either, but non-specialists tend to misuse terms, so to avoid being pedantic...

Drove around a bit today with 2.20.45. Only thing I noticed was that, so far, the problem with my usb drive continuing to play after I stop has ceased. I actually got out of the car and returned two or three times and the music picked up exactly where it stopped. I've not had that happen since the first 7.1 update. Hopefully it sticks.

I got the same update today. My USB music was mostly working, but lost its place this afternoon. So don't get your hopes up.

Hate to say it, but back to the same old behavior today. USB music continues to play even when the car is off. You would think they could fix this after several updates, but probably have higher priority fixes for those folks who don't want to drive the car themselves.

Probably another reason for the vampire drain. 6 miles over night for me , always connected and still on version 6.x. Is 7.1 better ?

2.20.45 seems to have increased my vampire drain from ~1 mile every evening to ~6 miles per evening. Which seems to be what I remembered the drain being without energy saving. Verified all settings were retained, and even tried toggling energy saving off and back on. Not amused with the continuing sloppy releases.

I got 2.20.45 on Sunday, and then today, for the first time ever, the 17" display computer crashed and rebooted itself. I was driving, had the camera at the top and Nav at the bottom with a destination programmed. Just as I approached my destination, the Tesla T logo appeared in the middle of the screen, then the screen went blank, music stopped, and the computer rebooted, just like it does when you press and hold both scroll wheels (and no, I didn't do it). It has only happened once and there are no lasting effects that I can see. Has anyone else seen that?
