Finally got the call.

ordered 29th June with no res.
delivery booked for Next Thursday the 26th September

Delivery in Canberra to my address. Will be 27th or 30th they said. Depending on the trucking company.
Can confirm I will need to head down Access Canberra and submit the paper to register the vehicle myself. Pretty annoying for a $90k car but I will survive.
I this is the highest VIN I've seen that has a delivery booked? The boat should only be arriving on the 20th according to veda.

I have to agree. Doubtless I’ll love the car when I finally get it, but the likelihood of my waxing lyrical about the virtues of buying a Tesla has plummeted. The negatives stick in the mind, and I cannot in good conscience tell someone to buy from them without mentioning the issues along the way.
For a company like Tesla that relies heavily on word of mouth, this is very dangerous territory.

I can't have my phone on me at work. For the last month I've been juggling between diverting my mobile to my desk, to my wife (with very clear instructions to accept any delivery appointment) or to voicemail.
I changed my voicemail to "If you're calling from Tesla, your call is important and I'll take the first available appointment. If you're not from Tesla, your call is less important. Either way, leave a message".
Happy to report that it paid off this afternoon, Delivery Specialist was amused when I missed the call and it went through to voicemail.

I think my wife is at the end of her tether with me waiting for my delivery call. She asked last night if the Tesla or the Family came first. I of course answered that it was a ridiculous question, the Tesla is part of the family ;-)
Interesting. I'm a Sydney based 4991XX. Given the boat only arrived on the 20'th, that is much sooner than I would have thought. Mine is a black P3-. No call yet............

When I called the bank to organise the payment transfer today, she asked which colour I’m getting. Apparently she’s done a few Tesla Motors Australia payments recently. Made some comment about whether this was one of the new “electronic” ones that I have to plug in, and then “oh so that’s why they cost so much”. Ah well.
Just got my invoice - that was fast after receiving the call earlier today! VIN is the same as the hidden VIN (4430), build date of July 10, so definitely on the Cap Capricorn - so it’s a bit of shame that it arrived on August 16, but won’t be with me until mid-late October!

It sounds like a lot of Tassie order holders received calls today to postpone their deliveries scheduled for next week, to mid-October.
Apparently Tesla didn't realise that you need to book well in advance to get a Spirit of Tasmania space, even more-so with a car carrier....

Got my call today, Alexandria NSW delivery, red P3+ with white interior, 5171 VIN.
Had Ando from Ando's auto detailing here all day working on my P3D+, correcting the paint and applying protection coating inside and out. The paint finish was pretty ordinary when the car was delivered last week, but now it looks amazing. Oh so shiny.

Car-carriers wouldn't be an issue but if they go by train it would. Although it would just be individual cars at a time if that was the case. In Tassie's case the entire shipment got delayed
