Why would they not also deliver to us Californians?? Why do we wait till the end of the quarter??? I just read in the other forum that someone that ordered on May 15 got their VIN today (obviously not Cali). I hope things change in the next few days, otherwise I will literally lose my mind....it will be 6 long weeks on Saturday...

Gotta wait for Texas to start building. Easier to ship here in California only takes a day from Fremont. To get anywhere in California to be able to get the most out on the end of quarter sales

MY LR white induction wheels FSD 198 vin, Bay Area, SA called and confirmed new headlights. build date of 5/22. picking up tomorrow. will update.

Update: sooooo the 2 delivery specialists I checked with via phone were incorrect. no new headlights. I wasn't expecting them initially so it kinda sucks that I got my hopes up only to be disappointed at delivery. bummed for sure but otherwise excited to drive the Y! no regrets but hope others have better luck with getting the new lights!

VIN ASSIGNED! Ordered April 14th, LR White/white, inductions, no FSD! Pick-up to Seaside/Monterey, CA. Delivery date disappeared, then just a bit ago got an email with the VIN and my page now shows it. Delivery now is slated May 28 - May 31 and waiting to schedule official delivery.

I changed my order from RWD to AWD on May 17. Not much happened for awhile. But this evening a VIN showed up: 197xxx, EDD May 28-31. I can't believe how quickly this is happening!

I was June 1 - June 17th yesterday and 3-13 weeks today. I don’t trust the dates at all at this point. My last update from my SA was first two weeks of June so that seems more likely.

Same. My SA told me I should expect a build date of 6/5 and delivery 6/6. This was last week info.

but seeing all the similar builds kicking out now with weekend deliveries makes me giddy

Just as I expected. There is still no reason to believe Model Y will ever get the new lights. Until they randomly show up. If you don’t need a car, then sure, order and hold until they show up. It may be years from now so be prepared to wait and find out something you really like about the car now changes to something you don’t (yoke steering wheels?).
